Check it out what do you guys think for 14,500? If its not rusted out I think its a pretty good deal. Actual miles are 900k not 1.5mil like it says online. Just waiting on the seller to send pics of under the frame and the the cab mounts to make sure its not rusted. Deff looks like an o/o and not a company rig and it looks like the guy took pride in his ride

I'd ask that you get oil samples from seller. I believe Volvo bought Mack. Getting work done on the motor can be a PITA.

My dad knows that e7 inside and out and we have a local mack dealer 15mi up the road. We're going to ask for an oil sample, I just think it might be too good of a deal not to have anything wrong. It looks well taken care of though. We also have cash so im sure that 14.5 could be brought down to 12k cash in hand

Don't know much about macks but I do know that place.
Was at the truckstop in behind that place last week getting a flat fixed and all the trucks in the back (hadn't been puffed up yet)had Richie brothers stickers on theme.

I've been there before and watched them take a high mileage engine and swap it in to a broken truck(engine) that looks good.

Not saying that's the case here but I would make sure it is the original engine.

No #### thank you good sir I'll run the vin threw our local mack dealer. Even if its not the original engine my dad can overhaul it himself for 5-6k

    Im more concerned about rust

That's a good buy on that truck. Even if you had to spend some money on it you'd still be in it cheap. I don't see how you could go wrong. Hell if you don't want it I'd be interested in it.

if your dad can do an overhaul and it looks to be in at least decent shape rust wise based on the limited info that can be seen in the pictures, i think its a good buy. i would go for it.

My dad wants to know if a mack dealer will be able to re flash it with the 460p settings? If under the cab and the cab mounts aren't rusted out my old man is gonna buy it. Suppose to send more detailed pics tomorrow. Last week we looked at 2 sister trucks that were boned out with only 500k. Good mech condition but just rusted beyond repair

Seem like a good deal if your dad can do a overhaul for 6k that a deal look like a nice clean truck but could be something else when you see it and test drive it.
