Is there nowhere at the drop or pickup locations to sweep/blow off the deck of the trailer?

Tell me about it, I killed the wet grass after a rain in florida just by parking the truck on it, it got all brown, the wife wasn't happy... few days later it was getting green again.

I use dish soap and a scrub brush with a long handle. You're screwed with white tarps, anything that will get them clean will simply rape the tarp.

I don't want to use it on something I'm going to eat but I don't think it's an issue to use it on plants you are killing before planting.

    cke Thanks this.

That's the problem it is going to be a veg garden. Not even wanting to poison the ground. Guess I could just till it. Was hoping to kill all the vegitation first to cut down on the weeding.

Put you back up tarps over the ground for a week or two.
That should take care of things. Nothing will grow under them.

    cke Thanks this.

I don't think it really affects the ground that way, but it's your garden.

Cut the sod out and put in good quality top soil. Using heat to kill stuff or tilling it under doesn't work well.

    cke Thanks this.

According to my brother-in-law, the farmer, it doesn't actually poison. It prevents synthesis , which is what plants do to convert sunlight into "food" or some such. Then there is his fact that Roundup breaks down vary quickly. I think he said something like a week or two.

Of course if I was planting a garden, I'd remove the top few inches anyway, including the grass, to put down some good, enriched soil.

cke, InTooDeep and ChaoSS Thank this.
