Anyone know how to do it. Can't find a relay or fuse. Plunger switch on brake valve line?

Why do you want to disable them for? Lights on for safety!

On the 2000 FL Classic I owned there was a switch on the tractor parking brake valve. I disconnected one wire and that disabled the day time running lights.

The OP hasn't been back to say why he doesn't want too. With a multiplex electrical system unplugging things is not going to work, especially during a road stop when your high beams aren't working...

If you run into CANADA their law requires anything built after 1989 to have / use Daytime Driving Lights. Its not overly enforced , been checked quite a few times never an issue when mine were disabled.

When I imported my truck I had to add DRL. I did all the wiring myself and just put an alligator clip on the power wire. I connect it for the annual and quarterly inspections, but I've never had a problem at a coop or roadside. :biggrin_25524:

Ironically, I always drive with my headlights on in the daytime.

My first new Western Star was bought in Ontario , Canada ( wicked deal at the time HI $ US / low $ CAN ) so it had the daytime lights. I disconnected them. Last couple of trucks I bought in CanadaI left them hooked up.

Because I get tired of cleaning the headlight lenses all the time and headlights are not cheap and because I think I need to decide what I need to run my headlights not the truck
