I’ve got 2 years experience in beer distribution. I want to move on, but pretty discouraged with my record. I’ve messed up.

Transporting drugs and 19 mph over the speed limit? You may be slinging those beer cases for a few more years. Keep your record clean for three years and then you may be ok.
Then again you could just be trolling.

19 mph over the speed limit is the problem.
15 mph and over is reckless driving in the trucking world.
3 - 5 year wait on that one before can be hired by a trucking company. Maybe never with a union LTL outfit.

    JoeyJunk and Winwin31 Thank this.

Most won’t insure you with a 15 over if you’re currently employed I’d stay there until economic conditions change

Yeah, that record looks pretty bad. I'm not sure even Western Express would give you a chance with that record, and they'll hire just about anyone with a pulse and a CDL. Much less chance for a company worth working for. As much as it sucks, your probably best staying put for a couple more years till those all go away. Just my opinion though. I don't know.

You may have a chance in the oilfield, 1099 job. Buy yourself an older twin screw w/sleeper, a water hauler in the making.

Or maybe a regular 9-5 job for a couple years?

I wasn't trying to shut him down. The speeding ticket is the problem. The criminal stuff isn't a problem for most OTR outfits, except for some LTL & union companies.

    CastleNut Thanks this.
