Illinois states this "The maximum number of looks you may use is two for all exercises except for Straight Line Backing exercise, which allows only one look."
"FOR ALL EXERCISES" which I take it to mean, two looks total for parallel driver, parallel conventional, offset right, offset left, alley dock (besides straight line)? Or do they mean two looks for EACH exercise?
Do I get 2 looks for each skills maneuver?

I don't know your state but here in Florida its 2 looks per maneuver or what ever they specify for that specific maneuver not the whole time
Hazmat Cat and Newtotrucking2020 Thank this. -

Straight back is 1 get out and looks. If you use a 2nd it's an automatic fail.
Offset back is 2 get out and looks. If you use a 3rd it's an automatic fail.
Parallel park is 2 get out and looks. If you use a 3rd it's an automatic fail. -
Also it's any time ### leaves seat. Not just getting out of the truck.

Wow. When I did my testing here in Michigan we weren't even allowed to roll down our window to stick our head out....

I don't understand the "two looks."
What does that have to do with safety?Fredterbert6666 and Lysdexis Thank this. -
I dont understand it either.Hazmat Cat and Chinatown Thank this. -
*I took your reply in the context you were asking why someone had to use their get out and looks -
This is the opposite of what it should be. You can hit a cone, and still pass. You can go outside of the lines and still pass. But you can’t get out of the truck for a third look.
I wrote a thread here about my experience taking the CDL in Georgia.
