Do people sell used drive tires?

Lot of people stopped selling then due to liability. Most TAs however still carry them. I typically pick up a used one whenever im forced to use my spare. Just make sure to inspect before you buy. Most TAs are pretty good at kicking aside scabs. Some just dont care and you gets what you get.

 

Loves doesn't they wouldn't even mount a used tire if you have one . TA and some independent shops have them. They say it's a insurance thing.

 

Plenty of tire shops sell used tires. Try smaller tire shops.

 

Try smaller shops around you. If you can’t find one to match up you could always buy 4 new ones and sell your three with good tread.

On my blue truck my drives were down enough going into winter that I wanted to pull them off. They were right there in that 7 to 9/32 range. Sapp Bros in Council Bluffs gave me $225 each because they were going to be able to sell them easily.

 

Most of the big shops don’t mess with them because they want the new tire sale instead. Truck tires take up storage room space and they don’t want to take up that room with used tires. Nothing to do with insurance. It’s Their corporate heads or lawyers that worry about the “liability” and put those policies in place.
