Do some companies take out of your check for the onboard you use?

    Are you asking about an ELD? If you're a leaser or an O/O and the company installed one in your truck they might charge you. If you're a company driver you shouldn't have to pay for an ELD.

    Check with your payroll department and let us know what they say. Okay?

    My company holds out a small fee for Pre-Pass and another small fee for XM-Radio. Both however are optional, if the driver doesnt want to pay the small fee he can have either or both removed from his truck.
