It don't take much to spend 60.00 a day if you stop at every other trk stop.Ive seen the inside of some trks when they open up the door, you literally need a shovel to make a path so my quess is some drivers spend well over that in a day.

You mean shovel a path through all the truckers that eat to much.

I couldn't fathom spending $60 per day. I'm $10 or less. Usually less. I generally pack meals, prepared on Sunday (leftovers, plus whatever I want to make) into tinfoil containers I throw in the heater lunchbox.

Occasionally if I get holed up early in a major truck stop with time to spare and I feel like it's been a successful day, I'll buy something from a restaurant.

    Wrappers?

That's nothing. Wait until you climb in one and find chicken bones on the floor.

That's discusting.Back in the day my trainer for Werner was a slob and very good at it.If he wasn't such a good trainer I would have traded him in for a new model.Pop all over the floor,I didn't dare walk around barefooted or my socks on,a few feet and they would have been black. He used the dash for a trash can as well as the space that's suppose to be for your belongings. Then one day we sat all day at a customer that's when I decided its time to do some major cleaning. He paid me 100.00 bought me smokes and a steak dinner,I didn't exspect anything I just couldn't stand it any longer. He was very proud of his trk.He didn't think it was possible to get it that clean.I got tired of living in deplorable conditions.Heck when I took a shower it didn't take long to feel like I needed another shower after getting in his trk because it was so full of filth.

My main concern was getting trained safely and going solo so I overlooked all the stuff most trainees would find offensive.Him and I never argued once and if we had issues we would talk to each other rather then crying to the company about it.I spent thanksgiving holiday 4 days with him and his family.During that time we practice a lot on my backing and shifting.
