I know of no company that gives a sign on bonus to new drivers. There are many that do tuition reimbursement . As for how to drive for..... Research research research. GL.

Student team drivers get up to 5K at some companies !!!!

    thehornet and Skip1965 Thank this.
  6. I've seen bonuses offered to new drivers but the minimum is usually 3 months prior otr experience. Recent grads can usually expect reimbursement, and new students can sign a contract and get a free or nearly free ride through school. The latter is actually a decent bet if you're looking for guaranteed employment directly after graduation, and thanks to in house testers, you're guaranteed a pass through in half the time of normal trucking student, meaning you get out on the road sooner and start making money faster.

If you do find a company offering sign on bonus please be cautious. That is used as a gimmick to get people in the door. And read the really fine print on how long and how much is paid. like Colorato said, "Research research research."

One company I talked to say that when they do pay sign-on bonuses to new drivers - and they don't do it often - the bonus is paid at $25 a week. You wouldn't even see it in your paycheck, so do your homework. By itself, it's probably not a good reason to sign with one company or another.

Be careful to verify that ANY drivers training you receive is accredited or you could find yourself unemployable in a few years, at least till you go back to school and complete training at an accredited school. These crazy rules changes always start as rumors and next thing you know you loose 12 hours of available work time a week or are required to take a 30 minute break in the middle of your day.

Someone wake me when this crazy dream is over please...
