When your settlement hits, do you read every line of it, or do you check the net and move on?
Asking because I keep seeing guys mention catching stuff months later. Tolls that were not theirs, a fee that showed up one week and never went away, escort or lumper charges for a load they never ran. Seems like the only way anyone catches it is reading every line every week, which is a lot to keep up with after a full day.
So two things I am curious about:
1. Do you have a system for it, or is it eyeballs and memory?
2. Has anybody here ever paid somebody to go through them, a bookkeeper or a service? Or is that not really a thing people do?
Just trying to understand how much of this is a real headache versus something everybody just handles.
Do you actually go through your settlement line by line weekly?
