Does anyone wash their truck in a TS parking lot when it rains? I’m sitting here waiting on a delivery appt late tonight. It’s pouring rain, and I have my wash mitts etc in my jockey boxes.

In the drought during the ‘70s in California my dad would wash our cars when it rained. Our neighbors thought he was nuts. I’d help and it’s a habit I’ve kept.

Fast forward to today...my tractor is a little dirty and it’s raining pretty good. So I wash all the parts I can reach with the mitts and little soap. I then use my synthetic chamois and dry it off so the rain can rinse it and make it spot free-ish.

    I might have OCD.

I’m probably perpetuating the Western Express mythology. The other drivers in the lot might think I’m a tweaker or worse.

Don’t care. Truck looks cleaner. Otter very happy.

Also had to post this before video made it to the Internet and I was outed as a nut job.

PS- my wife pointed out someone may look at my care for this tractor and say “he takes care of a Western tractor like that imagine how he’d care for ours. Let’s give that man a job after several drug tests and background check.” :)

Seriously Otter? You just like playing in the rain. Are you sure you're not from Oregon?

Don't let that epa enforcer see you allowing that runoff soap off your truck go into the ground or there will be hell to pay

I think it's a good idea quite frankly. If it's a hot day then why not? I do my best to look like I am insane.

Is there an empty spot next to you? Mine could use a wash when you are done with yours.

    No soap touches the ground.

Of course it would be hilarious to get a ticket for getting soap on the ground. I mean what if it mixed with all the pee and cleaned the joint up. :)
