Do you have to carry both your DOT medical card (form MCSA-5876) and the long form (form MCSA-5875) with you at all times? Or is it just the DOT medical Card? I'm only driving local right now, not interstate.
Also, can you shrink them to wallet size? Anyone ever had a problem with having a wallet sized one if you got pulled over?
Difficult to find answers when researching
Do you have to carry DOT medical card and long form always?

@Moose1958 is the expert here on that question.

Just the card.

In the past you had to have the card, not sure about the long form. I always carried both with me. With this new law that come effective in 2014 a driver once all the states get their systems in line a driver should not have to have one. To be honest as far as I know the only drivers that are required today to have that card are NON CDL holders driving CMVs under 26,001. However these laws are in such flux I would be afraid to say one way or another in regard to CDL holders.

I've yet to have an inspection and not be asked to produce my card. I carry my long form with me as well.

No need to carry the long form but carry your medical card at all times.

And I have spoke to drivers that have reported to me the same thing as said in posts #5 and #6. That is why I said I was afraid to say.

I don’t carry either. No need to intrastate in California.
