does anyone drive chicago intermodal local

    looking to find out any info i can about the intermodal local. Info in general seems to b scarce.. any help would b appreciated.

    How things wrk? If they treat drivers decent? Avg gross? They claim this to b bout 900 wk, insurance ded. Avg? Why they always seem to be hiring for this division if they do treat drivers good ya know, just trying to weigh my options ,. And there's not really that much info on here at all.

    And I have various different things about different shifts any info on how that works, were u out of the 47 n Pulaski yard every day?? Sorry so many questions but thanks again for any help

    great company to work for, There is a HUGE turnover in truck drivers, some dont want to take loads places.

    They hire so much because jb owns 51% of rail freight in chicago. if you like to run you'll make money

    Jb has 12500 trucks and 61 percent of that is just rail they will almost always be needing to hire someone.just to replace guys that retire . You will make what they advertise and possibly beat it depending on how hard you like to run .

    I do intermodal now.. over a yr. Local guys I talk to make 1100-1300 gross week

    I worked for JB for 3 1/2 years. Ran Chicago intermodal back and forth into WI and sometimes IA. Paid $20 to drop+hook at customer, $30 to live load/unload and paid detention after 1 1/2 hours. Those perks were eliminated and you now run several states. I made 50k a year, drove a new 2010 Cascadia, pulled outstanding equipment and had great benefits. Like any company there is good and bad and JB has new office people since I left in 10/2011. Recruiters aren't employed by JB and get paid when you report for orientation. Doesn't matter if you get hired, you show up and they get paid. No matter what they tell you or how they explain it - DO NOT DO THE LEASE PROGRAM!!!
