    I don't know about Marten, But most companies want it so they can claim the benefit from you being a Vet.

    Every company I applied to asked for a DD214 with record stating that I entered on the dates I said and exited on the dates I said I did. The army messed up on my DD214 getting out so I used one from a prior deployment and a my certificate of honorable discharge and that worked fine. If your were in the National Guard I'm sure a NG- form 22 would be helpful also.
