Does Mercer put GPS tracking devices on their lease trailers?

My truck is GPS tracked by the finance company. Once the truck is paid off, I'm either buying that tracker or putting my own in its place.

My trailer will also have an independent GPS tracker installed.

Cheap theft insurance. Just like having a dash cam is cheap liability insurance.

Why wouldn't a business owner want to be able to track his equipment at all times, especially at need? Like any insurance, better have and not need than to need and not have, yes?
