i live in new hampshire and if i go with swift for work the closest terminal is syracuse,ny. so when i get home time will they pay to get me home or give me a truck to get home or am i responsable for my own way home?
thanks -
had a buddy of mine who was based out of there, but really worked mainly out of a rail yard. (i hate those) But if that terminal is like any other, you get assigned a truck, and as long as you dont take more than 3 days off, you just take the truck home. They'll let you bobtail or take a load thru the house. You just have to find a safe and legal place to park it. You cannot drop a loaded trailer at a truck stop or other parking location, and bobtail home.....least that is policy. =)
eastcoastguy1975 Thanks this. -
Also, I know that they do not allow you to park the trailer and bobtail home.eastcoastguy1975 Thanks this. -
would they let me park it at a wall mart close to home?

I would be more worried about Wal-Mart letting you park there for a weekend. While a lot of them will let you shop there they frown on you leaving a truck for several days.

In most cases, Swift will try to get a load on you going somewhere near your home. Some customers will let you drop, others won't. They son't like tp bobtail you home if it can be avoided, but did a few times when I was company.
None of that applies to this truck. I take it where I want to.eastcoastguy1975 and Texas-Nana Thank this.
