I had to fly to PA to recover my truck with the van. This is the first time in probably 12 years to pull a box. Talk about bored...

You must not like seeing a big paycheck at the end of the week...

I agree. Was a door slammer for 20+ years, started hauling glass on flats, single and double drops...I don't want anything to do with a box trailer ever again.

I don't think I could ever go back to bumping docks. If I ever have to get out of car hauling it'll have to be tanker or flat...

Every time when I see a flatbedder doing tarps in crappy weather, I always think how they must love doing their job...

LOL. That's exactly how I think.

I jumped into the back of mine today and swept it out. Breaks the boredom ;-)

It's not so much the pulling the van...it's the shippers and receivers that have been beat down by every other knuckle head driver before you and by the time you get there has a serious "I couldn't care less about you or the freight on your trailer" attitude that I can't deal with. Most folks don't realize a little sunshine will make the green grow in your wallet!!

Same with car haul. It always stops raining after you finish loading.
