DOT have access to medical records? im asking for a friend

    my friend is a diabetic and got someone to pee in a cup for him so he could pass the urine test. now he's worried cause he thinks DOT can pull his medical records to see that he is and has been a diabetic for the last 8 years, Will DOT be able to pull his medical records? even though he passed physical

    No, but he may have a problem with his next physical if he doesn't get the sugar under control.
    Friend of mine was on insulin for about 15 years and it didn't show up on his physicals. He made it to retirement from a trucking company.

    If he doesn't get that sugar under control, he will have a lot more to worry about than passing a dot physical.

    He will have to pee again when he enrolls in school. And again when he hire on somewhere. And when he hits something or something hits him. Can't forget the randoms...

    Having someone else fill a cup for him was foolish, immoral, and short sighted.

    He should face reality. If he can't solve the sugar problem...find a different line of work.
