Double Broker watch out list

Good Afternoon,


Please be aware that there is a massive fraudulent double brokering & freight theft ring operating in Canada, with multiple carriers and related MC #s posing as legitimate parties. This operation is being run by Kuldeep Singh Otal (647) 226-2361. He is buying inactive MC #s, setting up multiple fake carriers, and taking loads from brokers and holding them hostage to extort payment. One of these fake carriers, Omni Trans Ltd (MC#1563047) took two loads from us, stopped answering calls/emails, and is currently holding one load hostage demanding payment before they deliver. At one point we were told one of the loads was picked up by Logistic 99, and we have security camera footage showing a V Trans trailer at the shipper. Lastly, the TD Bank Acct # that Omni Trans used to request direct deposit when attempting to extort us, is the same TD Bank Acct # as The North Transport Alberta. After investigating further, we have found the following list of Carriers / MC #s that are linked to this scam. Please see below:

In addition to the above-mentioned companies, please note that there is a cross dock location at 50 CENTENNIAL ROAD, ORANGEVILLE ON L9W 3T4. PLEASE BEWARE! IF YOU ARE TENDERED A LOAD WITH A PICKUP ADDRESS AT THIS LOCATION, THERE IS A HIGH PROBABILITY THAT CARGO IS STOLEN AND NOT THEIRS! YOU WILL NOT BE PAID!

We have filed a police report and reached out to multiple governing bodies to report these scammers, but the bottom line is that the best line of defense against fraud of this nature is sharing information with our network.
