Don't worry I'm keeping the couch warm too. Things slowed down to 1 load a week so I was enjoying my vacation until I go to move my truck and it says otherwise. Result is a new clutch and everything to go with it. This just allows me to catch up on the frosty beverages lol.
    Truck running strong since rebuild?

Very good read. Not sure I'll ever go Full Monty (my own authority) like you did. But I am considering buying my own rig eventually and run for my company on percentage.

    Back in 07/08.
Did trucking implode first and then the rest of the economic indicators caught up?

Any time I end up in the north east I just bounce empty to buffalo. Can usually get greasy bars that still pay decent, and if not it's just a short hop to Youngstown or Cleveland

The indicators have been here. Just had to see things for what they were, a fake economic boom that was only gonna last as long as congress kept printing more money.

Yes, trucking started imploding in 2007 for those on the spot market. For a majority of the campaigning for president, the economy wasn't even a talking point, then BAM!

I don't know everything. In 2008 the housing bubble burst. The oil field went to crap early this year which killed a lot of freight. We need manufacturing so we can ship stuff point to point, instead of port to rail yard. We don't make any thing any more.

The money printing, only the stock holders get wealth. Real household wages are down over the last 10 years, according to the radio.
