All that will do is give your left arm tiny bit of relief from the sun, also the left side of the face, for those who do not use them they have a sunburned left side while a pale white right side so the left looks aged quicker.
IluvCATS Thanks this. -
I bought these hoping for that. They look too transparent but maybe they actually help.

They're for swatting flies that try to sneak in the open window.
Seriously.... Cut down on glare that distracts/bothers you.
It is good to get that vitamin D, from the sun if you can.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
Even with the large gaps, it should keep out most Florida mosquitoes...

It's good when you are a helicopter parent and put it on the opposite side of the car just in case your brat may be exposed to that bad thing called the sun for more than 19 seconds.

Some people think they block the brightness of the iPad screen when they are watching a movie at night while driving. Nope.
IluvCATS and Crude Truckin' Thank this. -
dang, let me take that vitamin d pill while I block that shiny object in the sky.
IluvCATS and Crude Truckin' Thank this. -
I need something that blocks the sunlight from fading tattoos on my left arm. No joke. That’s why I bought that thing. It looks totally see thru now that I unpackaged it so I’m still looking.

I use the white ones that retract and I love it. After breaking several of the little flaps that go over the window I just cut the screen off the holder and use the suction cup to hold it to the window.
IluvCATS Thanks this.
