I did Flatbed back in the 90's and never really looked into again. I was thinking about it and the load rates yesterday. After that video, I think I was rethink it again.

I was loading at Dock 74. You're guiding them to place the coil, and it looks like the coils on top of you as they lower it down. I was thinking that's the last thing I'll see if something happens to the crane!

I know how that goes. Honestly my thought on getting crushed is ill try to avoid it. But if it happens regardless of if i live or die, ill never need to worry about bills again.

Years ago, I loaded some steel or something, and you had to wear a vest with a cable attached, and it would yank you out of the way if you fell or tripped? Do they still have that?

Awesome! Not only do you have a stubbed toe, and a bruised knee from falling, now you get an expedited brushburn for your face!

Considering the alternative was a CLOSED CASKET FUNERAL I’d say that’s a pretty good bargain!;)

There's a pretty horrible video of a steel roll that falls off maybe a forklift and starts rolling away and a worker gets in front of it to push against it to stop it from rolling. Needless to say, it didn't turn out well.

We had a local flat-bedder killed with a load of re-bar awhile back.
Please guys, take an extra minute to be safe.
