Driver Just Inspected by NY DOT...not accurate, what can we do?

    You can't be allowed to PC in California, take a trip to NY, then get hit for PCing in California, 5 days back.

    That's absurd.

    Like our resident DOT said "If it's something that you'd take a taxi for, that's PC.

    Pretty cut and dry.

    So go to court and get the case dismissed. This is how you train an over zealous officer. By getting beaten in court he will learn to stop writing tickets for things that won't hold up.

    I'm going to be polite to the office and then call my attorney and ask him to refer me to one in the local jurisdiction to handle the case.

    And I've PC'd to a safe shut down several times.

    And if I get drummed out of trucking for that, I guess I am unsafe, and probably shouldn't be here to begin with.

    our safety guy isn't quite as anal as yours but still make us follow the letter of the law. I've pc'd 180 miles home often enough. Perfectly legal. Off duty, unladen and not progressing towards a load.
