In Florida or Texas it would be seen as justifiable homicide.

He must have taken a plea deal. Maybe he could have gotten a better outcome with a trial.

Different state (NY), but remember Bernard Goetz shot several thugs in self defense on a subway and only got convicted of a weapons charge.

Sad someone has to go to jail for defending themselves.

    Trucker defending self= automatically guilty.

If a trucker driver passing by stops a mass shooting, he will be tried for the shooting.

Killing an unarmed man is okay if you’re afraid of him?

Except this ain’t Florida or Texas!
Anybody worth their weight in salt knows that New Jersey has very strict gun laws and they typically don’t recognize permits from other states!

An unarmed man is capable of killing someone.

Only a coward ends a fistfight with a gun.

Maybe this driver considered his truck a battleship and didn't think gun laws applies to him. That comment is aimed at the drivers that think just declaring their sleeper as their home has ANY impact on gun laws in whatever jurisdiction they are caught with a gun.
