Driver Stung By Bees After Accident Due To Teen’s Improper Lane Change

I hauled bees 3/4 times but in a reefer we kept the temperature just above freezing and the bees were sluggish but it didn’t take long with the doors open for them to start moving around.. load checks were fast lol

 

I’ll bet those bee haulers don’t get many Level 1’s

 

My youngest daughter is horribly allergic to bee stings. She has to always have an epi pen and ends up in the ER if she gets stung.

 

Ya it was a yellow jacket with my daughter too. She’s not allergic to honey bees and bumble bees but any kind of hornets are bad news. Totally changes your life when you have a child like that. Always on the lookout for bees anywhere we go.

 

Same here. Bees scare the absolute #### out of me, granted my allergy is to wasps but single bee stings still make whatever is stung swell up so much it looks like i have grapefruit sized blisters. Wasps its epi and right to hospital. So a crash like this is bloody nightmare fuel for me.

Hard ####ing nope.

 

A yellow jacket zapped me once so I torched their nest. Turns out anything and everything is allergic to gasoline and fire.

 

Over the years of the past when we ran cattle or hides back and forth on I-10 we’d run with some of the bee haulers out of florida. It was fascinating how going down the highway them bees could still fly in and out of the hive boxes and not get left behind. Every time the truck would slow or stop in traffic or the scales them bees would be buzzing around. When we’d roll into the scales we’d get in between couple of them and the troopers would just roll us thru to keep them bees moving along.
Hauling fresh hides strapped down to a skateboard had its perks at scales too. No one wanted that wet bloody mess and smell around to long.
