My best friends brother owns a farm. For the low price of a carton of smokes and "hay you got a CDL/a dump truck, come help me do #### for a couple days" a couple times a year i have little/no rent and a ligit address.

 

But cheap RV, and park in RV places, I am pretty sure then not charging more then 300$ -400 a month,
So you have phisical, address and you can even move around .
And yes it's sound pricey for begging, but after 2-3 years It will pay of no problem.

your landlord might be willing to receive your mail for a reasonable fee every month

 

If that the route you’re taking then get an address in a tax friendly state.

 

I'm not trying to be negative, I like your idea if it works, but two cautions to think about. Don't let a company pay you per diem. You will no longer fit the IRS definition for eligibility. Some mortgage companies are not going to like that you haven't been paying at least some kind of rent.
There are a couple of ways around the second one if you're creative.

Easiest thing is if you have someone in the state your Cdl is currently from .

and as mentioned TN or FL or TX will Save you 6% state income tax or more.

If you already have a CDL and are just worried about the mail, most states have a method to have any mail sent from theDMV be sent to a different address than the addy that’s on the front of the DL.
And most states you can set up an email address linked to the DMV
So you will also get emails along with snail mail.

Check with whatever state you’re wanting to transfer your CDL to and find out their specific requirements for an address.

usually a rental lease agreement is what they want , sometimes they want a utility bill.
Find out specifically what utility bills are acceptable .
Tell them you’re renting a room, not the entire house and ask what kind of paper work they want to see in that situation

also if you don’t already have the gold star on the top right corner of your DL, then you have a lot of other hoops to jump through , providing birth certificate, SS card, passport etc .
