Been holding off applying to schools till a couple of sppeding tickets had come of my record. I went today and got an abstract of my driving record from the state license vacility. One ticket from another state was not on my record. I asked them about it and they said " it must have not been turned in". My question to you guys and gals is......even though I have read that honesty on this is best policy because they do find out, is " will they find out , if it is not on my record? " I will be watching here closley, because one drops in a month and if the other does not show up, then that means I will only have one on my record for the past 3YRS. If I do not mention the one that is not on my ABSTRACT, I will only have 1 in 3 yrs.:biggrin_255::biggrin_25525:

I am not sure that a regular Operators License is reported Nation-Wide, but I do know that a CDL is. The School/Company MAY pull your record Nation-wide regardless, so it is always best to be honest about the ticket out-of-state.

I appreciate the advice. The tickets are the only thing Im nervous about. All 3 tickets I have gotten in the last 5yrs were as I was leaving some little villiage where Barney has nothing else to do but sit right at the 50 mi an hr sign and clocked me right before I got to it as I was getting up speed. I have never had any wrecks. nor have I ever been in any trouble with the law, plus I have a very good work record. I guess I am wondering how much is the speeding going to affect my being considered?

Hey houdini, don't know how IL is, but in MI, when an employer pulls an MVR, they get a seven (7) year listing. Granted, they mostly only pay attention to the last three years, but those tickets will still be on there.

as far as the speeding goes, having more than one may affect your chances with some companies, but as long as the offenses are minor (say 5 over) then it shouldn't be a big deal.

    good luck!
