Hey guys, I'm picking up a load tomorrow, and delivery is said to be sandy.
I've spent a lot of time out in the Sandhills, and always got around good airing down, but not in a big truck.
Figured I would drop to 40psi or so.
Thoughts or advice appreciated!
Dropping tire pressure to deliver in a sandy area?

If the dual tires start to touch each other in the sand, wouldn't that damage the sidewalls?

Stop in the street and make sure they have a machine and a cable there, if not make them sign something they are on the hook for a tow truck past the curb

With the steel ply in the sidewalls you have to worry about “pinch” damage if run too low. Sidewall Zippers can happen when you air back up to normal operating pressure.
