There is a thing called sympathetic fire or contagious shooting. Basically when you know the suspect is armed and from what I understand the suspect had already fired at officers...when the first officer began shooting the other officers on the scene also began returning fire ( In their minds by the sounds of the gunfire they thought the suspect was still firing at them but possibly in reality they were hearing the sounds of their fellow officers gunfire and thought they were still being shot at).

You know it’s funny people will call you a “bootlicker“ and all sorts of other degrading names for showing basic respect to police officers. Same as you might another truck driver or just another fellow human being that’s all you gotta do. And it’s quite amazing, and all my 56 years on this planet and the numerous encounters I’ve had with police, just showing basic common courtesy and respect and I’ve never had a problem. Never had a situation even escalate. Funny how that works, isn’t it? We see these shootings and we analyze them 500 times over and over in slow motion and try to pick a part if the police officer acted correctly or not. Forgetting what caused the escalated situation in the first place. An idiot.
You don’t even have to like the police. That’s fine. But when you encounter one just act like a decent human being and nothing bad’s gonna happen to you.

A couple of things I haven't seen mentioned much is that his girlfriend had recently died and that he was chased by police less than 24 hours before the incident where he died. I'm not saying he was suicidal but it wouldn't surprise me if he was or that he had "given up" and didn't care if he died.

but this was not a "one on one" event...it was a "mob", or "clan" of a group of heavily armed Storm Troopers, pumping lead into a downed man.

"one on one", i can realistically "see" a full magazine (not clip) pumped into the guy, but more that 2..??? 5...?? 8 (or 9)....???

    is beyond mob/clan mentality.

when did cops, become a mob..????

had the 8 (or 9) cops been in a gunfight with an equal amount, (or more) thugs, and a "mini war" broke out, then yes too, unload as many rounds to take down as many as you can, i can see that as well.

but, 1 man...DOWN, and the continued pumping him of lead all due to "feeling a threat" still existed, is just uncalled for.

in the end, i hope they all get fired, lose thier pensions, and never get another job in as much as an unarmed security guard at the hazmat dump.

and here, you speak of, "one on one", like i mentioned in the above posting....

SMH this is not a mob. We're not talking about a protest. That turns into a riot and looting. We're talking about 8 trained professionals. That did what they are trained to do. So it's still. Do you risk your life or the life of others. When someone known to be armed. Appears to turn and attack you? No. You use lethal force. As trained.

Yes, but we're mostly law abiding folks here who have jobs and responsibilities that we have to take care of first. So we don't have time.

That’s what happens when you don’t do as you’re told. Never question Authority, especially if they’re armed. Remember they’re the Professionals. I’m sure there’s a reasonable explanation for killing this guy 90 times over. Not sure if SPORT is a viable defense, but he did try to run away. It’s easy to support Police, until they treat you or someone you love wrongly. I’m guessing his prior experience with the Police, may have been a bit different compared to others. Just a guess.
