Oh, this is a toughie, better dig up J. Edgar for this one. I swear, got to make a big investigation out of everything. Driver dumps load, lowers box, forgets PTO, driving down the road, hits hoist control,,,case closed. :biggrin_25518::biggrin_25524:

Last year, while hauling a stepdeck trailer, which I dropped off at a construction site.

Just had seat belt put on, then I left the site bob tail.

The first five minutes of driving the truck felt weird, shifted like crap. (I’m a deaf driver)

I pull over; climbed out of the truck, I’m standing on my fuel tank step about to climb down and noticed a humming vibration through my feet.

That’s when I realized my pto was engaged. Seat belt caught the pto lever when I was putting it on.

Shut it off and continued on.

Returned to the company yard, hooked up to a float to haul an excavator.

Engaged pto, pushed on hydraulic lever, float won’t rise off the ground.

After some fiddling and checking, I find my pump is destroyed from just that five minutes of driving without a hose hooked up. After removing the pump, took it apart, it was blue in colour inside.

Well thank God I had a single trailer Wednesday night. I could've been southbound across from that.

    Quite the mishap. Lol
