I didn't know they hauled coils in them. That's cool.

    #### that's light. I was hauling 40 ton loads all day today with a dump trailer. 24 tons hardly seems like it'd be worth the trip with an end dump. What are you guys allowed to load a tri-axle dump truck (straight truck) to down there??

you only could if you had a tie down trailer. we still had to chain them down with the same regs that flatbedders had. I hauled coils, mill rolls, dyes, Aluminum rods, aluminum sows. I had tie downs that came through the floor for me to hook my chains and straps too

    MJ1657 Thanks this.

they probably hauling legal weights and not buying overweight permits. I hauled upwards to 35 tons but never had a permit. the setup I had 35 ton had me grossed out at 104k

I hauled crushed baled cars, ground alternators, dirt from junk yards to a cooker in Fl just like an asphalt plant and they cooked it, coal, chicken poop, grain, salt, minerals, bagged feed, bricks on pallets, sand to Phoenix for molds, broken beer bottles and glass, Molybdeum 8 lb balls from CO to AZ, cotton seed meal, pellets, ash from coal fired generators for roofing granules and fine ones to add to paint, cement, fertilizer. Pulled a 40 ft frameless TiBrook dump and when you got it up in the air if felt like it would tip over. I hated going out on a 100 mile haul, then having to load a load of sand for 2000 miles away and them saying, "Can you be there tomorrow?"
