Hi there,
I own a new Dump Truck Company.
Bought a 2006 Peterbilt 385 C13 Quint axel -10 speed transmission 430 or 450 horsepower. 22 ton capacity.
Thinking of buying a second truck.
Found a 2008 Peterbilt 340 with a Cummins ISC 315 horsepower- Automatic 18 ton capacity. But, not sure if this second dump truck is strong enough for the dump truck business. Mainly, haul asphalt/hot mix. Don’t really do aggragate. Need advice please.

When I lived in San Antonio, almost all the asphalt was delivered by belly dump outfits - but that was back before Bill Hall Jr. was murdered by his wife. -
Thanks for the quick response.
I’m already working with a few plants already with my Peterbilt C13 engine but not sure if the automatic transmission 2008 Peterbilt with a ISC 315 engine with 315 horsepower is strong enough for hauling 18 tons on a daily basis. -
