Oilfield is feast or famine. I haven't been paid in a month but I'm not missing a beat because I'm ready for it

Welcome to the oil field business.
That's how they roll. They'll promise you a job, and they'll keep stringing you along hoping that when they find work you'll still be around.
It might be worth finding out who got that contract so you know who to call for the job.

Here's a tip if your gonna roll the dice and chase
The big oilfield money. By yourself a small travel trailer
or motor home. Save yourself a lot of money over apartments.
Those contracts come and and go like night and day.
    Been there done that.
So you need to be completely mobile to move on
To the next gig at the drop of a hat.

    jungledrums and rabbiporkchop Thank this.

If you can get your hands on one of these cheap it would be well worth the money and no it's not an Airstream.

1989 was the last year. Sold mine a few years back to rescue my tow rig from a shop.

I don't think he's trying to place fault. What is it with folks always trying to find the fault ownership?

Life is full of lessons. He's just pointing out the financial aspect of said lesson.

Oh no, that was not directed towards him in any way. He's calmer in his post then I would be after spending all that money and up rooting my life.

My comment was directed toward this poster and her comment "pattyj said:Hopefully this is a costly lesson learned"

    TaterFox Thanks this.
