Dynasys Gen II apu parts, questions, service research

I'm considering purchasing a Dynasys Gen II with a CAT.

My understanding is this is a CAT 2 cylinder C0.5 engine.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of some cheap parts for these things, specifically the Generator head seems wildly overpriced for a 6kw generator head (around $1000-1100)

Anyone have any experience with putting a different head on this thing? I know generator heads rarely fail but if it does, that is a ridiculous price. I could rob a 6kw head out of a gas generator brand new that costs the same or less for the entire generator, but it may be tricky mounting it.

As with most parts branded by the major brands (TK, Carrier, dynasis, rigmaster) They are typically generic parts with a new sticker slapped on them for a massive markup, usually made in China anyhow so why not just buy it from aliexpress...

Before I have this Gen II installed on my truck I want to make sure there has been some research done on getting knock off parts for them.

Who here has worked on them or Jerry rigged them? The engine is a good engine, not like these pieced together Kubota pieces of crap I'm seeing pop up everywhere now...
