Hey everybody,
Got an Eaton FRO 10 speed that lost fourth and ninth, so it’s rebuild at this point. But also have on the shelf an eaton ultrashift FO-16E313A-MHP that was rebuilt just as a spare. Would it be possible to swap out the xy shifter for the shift tower, swap the bell housings to accommodate the slave cylinder and clutch and run it as a manual? Pretty sure there’s other stuff im forgetting
Eaton ultrashift to manual conversion?

I wish it was that easy, but its not. The main transmission case is different between the ultrashift and manual transmissions, and a case is not cheap, your better off just buying a whole manual transmission if that's what you want.
For the autoshift/ultrashift cases they skip the machining processes that are needed to finish out a case for the manuals shift.Last edited: Nov 3, 2024
