any solution to this?

it just keeps running ON duty but will not switch to drive mode.

You have to make sure the application is connected to the ELD Device. You're probably not recording anything from the ECM (i.e. Engine Hours or Odometer). I'm not sure what their pairing process is. Either that, or the bluetooth device is not receiving anything from the ECM.
