Of course I would! He is also my friend. (Probably not the best idea but we are very good friends.)

This sounds like sexual harassment? Be advised.

Guess I should specify that I am happily married and he is my grandfather's age.

Hahahhahaa! He is great to talk to. Many stories and just a thoughtful person. He brings me his extra clothes for my hubs and food from other states. (Most recently, peaches from Georgia and a huge watermelon from southern Illinois.) I've made him cake and food to take home.

    scottied67 and Oldironfan Thank this.

I wish I could thank this post 100 times! Fining the guy fuel to get home? Firing a driver when it is super difficult to find one? Gee whiz, or substitute your four letter variety!

Document that there was a violation, and the driver was notified. If it happens again, then and only then do you take more drastic action.

Long FLD and deathB4decaf Thank this.

If you are a driveaway/towaway operation why are you making this driver use ELDs?
From what I make of it, ya'll should fall under the exemption..?
Google up the eld mandate, then check out the FAQ section, exemptions.
Sorry if this has been covered, 8 pages of posts to read..

No, it hasn't. Possibly it isn't a towaway that is exempt. Only when the vehicle being towed away is an RV is the carrier exempt.

I had assumed that they weren't towaway RVs. But you can't assume anything.

The wording is something like "vehicle being driven is the commodity" for the exemption.
As per deaths business, she has a couple trucks that are company. I'm guessing car carriers as she's mentioned they do all vehicles, not just trucks.

singlescrewshaker and Bean Jr. Thank this.
