To the drivers already on ELD systems....how has it effected your paychecks? If so what is the company you work for doing to compensate the loss?

Dropped some miles as you cannot cut it close like ABORD. More log violations too, Compensation...a laugh:)

It all depends on the company that you work for. I have been on e-logs for 8 years and my pay check has not changed at all. This is all with Bison, from paper logs to e-logs. We are currently in the process of changing over to ELD from AOBRD on a Fleet by Fleet basis. I haven't heard any grumbling from the drivers that have been changed. I will probably be changed over in the next couple of weeks

    Dieselboss Thanks this.

*** Make sure the ELD is FMCSR Compliant ***

    ---
The requirements for a driver’s record of duty status are detailed in 49 CFR 395.8.

    RODs logs must include:

    24-hour period grid
    Date (Day, Month, Year)
    Total miles driven
    Truck/Tractor/Trailer number
    Name of carrier
    Main office address
    Driver’s certification verifying logs
    Name of co-driver
    Time zone
Total hours spent in: OFF-Duty, ON-Duty, Sleeper Berth, Driving
Shipping document number/name of shipper/name of commodity
    ---

Company I'm with rolled out ELD from AOBRD and screwed up big time.

[ Total hours spent in: OFF-Duty, ON-Duty, Sleeper Berth, Driving ]

    Missing!

    RECAP function?

    Missing!

Dispatch calls and asks if I have the hours for preplanning? Are you kidding me!?!

I call log department. Guess what they said? Go count your EVENT records.

    FFS

So, what to do. What did I do?

I logged into my ONLINE PEOPLENET ELD to access the same records the log department has. If you are on AOBRD, you cannot access your ELD logs. Same vice versa.

    Screwy, yes.

I no longer have to deal with log department.

Eld sucks. Plain and simple. No difference between aobrd other than the latter is more lenient
