Empty across I-80 in Wyoming

It’s currently snowing in Green River.

 

Wyoming DOT sucks. Freaking send out the plows and handle that snow.

 

Wyoming very rarely impose “chains required” on interstates. I don’t think they have such signage for interstate sections (chains mandatory to proceed). They simply close the road instead. When things improve somewhat, they open them to all and say “good luck, people. Knock yourselves out. Put chains on, or not. It’s up to you”.

 

This is why you avoid Wyoming whenever possible. For example. If traveling from TX to SLC, Idaho, or PacNW in winter, 9 out of 10 times you’ll be better off going via ABQ

 

It says it’s snowing over the vail pass...

Is there a word for Super excited, concerned, and anxious? Maybe a few other choice words in there as well. Hahaha.

I’ll say this... after the summer of fire out here all over the western 11, the clean crisp air and dusting on the foothills is a welcomed change. I’m actually driving with the windows down here and there. Just breathing good air.

 

I just came through there I took US 30 it was ok. Once you get to Cokeville it clears up.

 

lol it’s closed cuz the bridge is under construction. You use the by pass. They won’t close i80 these days unless winds reach over 70 and trucks start getting rolled. Or people start slipping and sliding off the road.
