What's happening to all the decent paying freight? Loads are cutting in pay, O/O loosing our butts out here. I'm hearing company pushing better paying loads on company drivers. Is this the new trend here at Epes. Drive the owner ops out for the bottom line. Well it was just a matter of time. Just like the rest of Corporate America, companies only in the game for one thing. Making money for the top. I really hate it because I like it here. But times have changed apparently.

 

Demand is down because of the china virus. Not much freight to go around. Less demand, less pay.

 

Can any Epes drivers tell me if there is a way to get around the 48-53ft trailer in the last 3yrs requirement to
get hired? I have 18yrs experience plenty of 48-53ft experience but my last job of 5yrs was end dump. The recruiter says that's a no go, seems odd. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

 

I heard Epes drivers get paid VERY well, like Wal-Mart well without the Wal-Mart BS.

 

December will make 8 years with Epes. They hired some guy to run this account I’m on and because of HIM, I despise Epes now and I surely hate his guts more than I have any other living creature on this earth. I don’t know how much longer I can take this. Working for Epes and coming to work actually almost makes me nauseous.

 

I saw they were advertising for that account again. I take it, it's not going well?

 

The account is great. The person they hired to run it is a thousand times worse than anyone I’ve ever worked for. And I’m 54 years old so I’ve been working awhile.

 

Rolling hate to hear that . But where I went is hiring .
