I would check the thermostat in it.
-
-
Ok I'll double check intake
-
When you say thermostat. In the bunk the controller? There is a flame/heat sensor on burn chamber and I think also an air temperature sensor on the outside of the metal casting where the air flows over before it leaves the heater on the way to the bunk
-
I have the book on the Espar d2.... it tells you the problem and what to do ....... i'll be back at the truck at 6est and ill respond here.....
-
Sorry, I left the manual in my truck I sold.

Double the air flow theory.
I think it even has two heat sensors. One at the intake side that signals when the set temp is reached or needs heating, the other might be around the heat chamber or outlet as over heat protection. -
I have Webasto and cause it to stop blocked the air inflow vent with some stuff under my bed.
Also check the fuel filter. -
what code does it show when it dies and the red light comes on? usually no flame detected, flame lost, etc
