You know the Estes trucks out here in the west don't look all that bad, but that is a outside looking in perspective from me, you guys drive them or have driven them so I don't know, I never made it through the door there, but I did get the phone and formal interview there and that's all I could ask for, so no hard feelings towards Estes from me, the Estes door just simply closed and the Saia door opened, funny how that happens.

They might have new equipment at the bigger terminals. Tucson has pure garbage! That's also a different company too if you didn't know.

Hey Kao, yeah I know, I remember me and you having a discussion about Tucson terminal, when that opening was posted, if you are talking about Estes West formerly G.I. Trucking, as being the different company or division, yeah that I knew.

    LtlAnonymous Thanks this.

They're so secretive about the pay. They won't tell you. I know it's kinda rude to ask, but I wanna know considering I may be moving to Arizona.

Yeah the only thing I could tell you was when I interviewed with Scott, he told me I would be starting at .60cpm, but that interview was almost two years ago, so I imagine starting has gone up since then, with you being a transfer who knows, also keep in mind, and this is per a friend of mine who was a G.I. trucking employee for 17 years, the former G.I. trucking legacy drivers are at a little higher pay scale than the guys who started as Estes West drivers after the take over, this is because Estes honored the G.I. trucking pay scale and they will remain at that pay scale until they all retire from the company, however Estes did stop the pension that G.I. had them set up with, and cashed the pensions out to the former G.I. drivers, this might be what's causing the Estes west vs Estes east pay scale confusion or secrecy, but I am only assuming that.
