    Sometimes freight will be heavy enough that they’ll add runs, and sometimes central dispatch will set me up to pull empties to another center and move their overflow freight. Otherwise I get the day off.

    I’ve been on the extra board since the summer and haven’t had a week with fewer than 2000 miles so far. You would be surprised how often drivers call in sick.
