Ok boys so finishing up the week where I left off. They sent me back home. Dallas terminal was dead empty in the morning.

Dallas, TX - HOME (472 miles)
HOME - Olive Branch :D (whatever)
Olive Branch - Charlotte, NC (609 miles)
Charlotte, NC - HOME (617 miles)

So... I end this week with about approximately 2750 miles. Pretty light week to be honest. If I didn't have to be at the house warming party for the investment property I bought I'd be back to Houston for another 34! I also do get ALOT of drop and hooks too. Always remember that's better than nothing.

Welp, back to work Sunday. How much y'all wanna bet it's either 3 places they send me.

    Columbus
    Knoxville
    Cincinnati

    Ew

What did I tell ya. I know these people like the back of my hand at this point. It's the same BS places when it's a new dispatcher in the office.

Would they run extra board out of Fargo area? Got a friend of mine looking. He’s not in the LTL sector right yet.

Yeah they will. I've been to the terminal there. May have better opportunity that what it would sound like. I've always made good money working from there!

Alright I’ll let him know. One of our dock guys actually just started over there to. He seems happy, but then he was happy with us. He went from nights to days there.

What are you running for trailer setups while you’re out there?

Mostly doubles... You have vans here and there. Very rarely bobtail or one pup

It's that time again guys where we talk about Estes and all the shenanigans... And there WILL BE SHENANIGANS! So...

Day 1 is one of those... Welp, it's Estes days. Typical dispatch you can expect to Knoxville right? Ok... But it gets... Estes'd up! I leave home I'm on my way to Knoxville. I pull over at a pilot to get some ice water and a guy flags me down saying my tire is leaking oil... Ok. I go look and the passenger side steer hub seal has somehow popped or something. Don't ask me man idk. I leave to go to the TA Express like 15 or so minutes up the road figuring they have a shop, easy fix. Wrong.

    NO SHOP!

I call breakdown and they say it's a 90 minute wait for the guy to show up. Ok, it's around midnight, I can wait a bit right? Yeah ok lol. The guy shows up AND HE HAS NO TOOLS OR ANYTHING TO FIX ANYTHING. I was waiting almost 2 hours on this guy. He's calling around trying to find the part, but nothing is open Sunday might going into Monday morning. I'm screwed and less than 2 hours from the Knoxville terminal in Cookeville.

Breakdown decides to tow me back to Nashville. This is around like 0245 when I'm told the tow guy will come. Ok, just wait and I'll be fine maybe I can push it through. Not at Estes you won't lol. Hour and change later I get a call from breakdown asking what's going on... No call no nothing from anyone. Breakdown is upset and hangs up. Wrecker calls and says he just got the call (hour + 15 minutes later) and he will be on the way.

Talk to breakdown again and he's apologetic but I just say "it's Estes man" and we both laugh. Wrecker shows up around 0520 we get hooked and rolling. To sum it all up because I'm tired and took 2 Advil PM... Sat almost 6 hours and got towed to Nashville.

Home - Nashville, TN (240 miles)

    Next day (yesterday) simpler

Nashville, TN - Orlando, FL (641 miles)
