ESTES Express (5 Year Review)

All they keep doing is saying they want to keep you safe. They don’t want you to be distracted, but yet you have all these bells and whistles, constantly buzzing beeping, and everything else while you’re going down the road… SMH

 

It gives me anxiety hearing the beeps and buzzing going off. I miss mechanical trucks, paper logs, and the old hours of service. Something else I can't stand is the cell phone. I hate talking on the phone. I don't understand how or why drivers want to sit on the phone all day and night. The only people I'll talk to are my wife and kids. Otherwise I won't answer.

 

I wouldn’t exactly call it a good life. I still have to work everyday. 600 miles? Absolutely not. Too much sitting for me. I just use my seniority to take easy days because I’m lazy. #7 out of 50 is not bad. I have some days I’m stuck dispatching and those are the days I hate.

 

I passed a few Estes when I was heading down to Nashville last night. I rolled out of Indy at 9pm. Any chance I passed you?

 

I take 69 down to 24 into Nashville fairly often. There's no traffic and it's only a 15min longer trip.
