But I'm not. Left with a sleeper truck ended up with a single axle. Truck went down at the hotel in Houston. They refused to give me any truck worth anything.

Gonna tell you new guys this right now. You come to west Houston terminal, you need to be ready to wait. I waited 19 hours off duty Monday night going into Tuesday. I’m at about 13+ hours now. Big money coming here but you will WAIT trying to leave. West Houston is the bad terminal with these new central dispatchers.

That’s like the Marietta hub for us, I call it the black hole.

Don’t you run a fair bit of mileage yourself?

I grabbed a full wagon worth of pickups today at a town further away than 4 other terminals.

Yes. It’s a full route spread out far. I get about 60-65 hours a week because I’m coming in early. If I just do my route only I can get 50-58 steady.

Yes. I retired at 60 in 2024. My wife retired at 58 in 2020 from the Teamsters as well. She did her 30 years in the office at Sysco foods.

    48Packard and navypoppop Thank this.
