I am supposed to attend a CDL class starting Jan 6th in Iowa. I have read that most everyone does not like CRST. I really want to drive and plan on making this a career, but honestly the bad threads are starting to worry me. I am looking at it a little differently from other people and want to know what thoughts are. I have recently got out of the Marine Corps. After 9 1/2 years I am definitely used to being away and sharing spaces with others. 2 deployments to Iraq and 1 to Afghanistan has given me ample opportunity to get learn how to live in confined spaces with numerous people. The most interesting was 29 days straight in a truck with 3 other guys. So I'm not worried about the team aspect at all. If I am willing to drive and continue to drive, of course sticking to my hours, and I do not make it a concern of mine when the next time is that I'll get home time, will CRST continue to give me loads? I'm not worried about making it home on any set schedule. I figure if I make it home monthly great. If I make it home every 2-3 months great. It can't be worse than 7 months deployed. At least I'll have a phone. So my big concern is, if I dedicate myself to driving and being reliable, will I have the opportunity to continue getting loads?
Everyone says CRST is bad?

The majority wins. There are better options. You want the best of the worst. Not the worst of the worst.

Thanks for the replies. I've talked with Central and CR England but both said they do not hire in my area. Any suggestions on who to contact?
