    Our company has my wife and I say to start a dedicated gig doing doubles. We will be testing for the endorsements next weekend. We are looking for as much info as possible from the experienced guys. All the do and don't s

    Big thing is easy lane changes. Nothing worse than that rear trailer whipping around. It caused me to have to throw away a good pair of underwear.

    Heavy trailer always goes in the front! The test is a piece of cake!

    put dolly(gear) in front of rear trailer, back lead up to dolly, hook dolly to pintle, back under rear trailer, close the dolly tank drain valve, check fifth wheel gap/handle/bar, roll up landing gear, hook electric/air, . Watch the dolly as it turns sharp when backing. Really they are not that bad, unless you try to back doubles. Make sure you close the drain valve.

    It's all in your CDL book my friend. What they teach, at least in this case, is correct.

    make sure you close off your air lines on the rear of the rear trailer

    I cross mine. I find it an annoyance that people don't. If the pintle hook breaks, the dolly has more support when the chains are crossed than when dragged by the chains.
