I am the only employee of a very small startup company. We currently have 1 truck. It' a 2003 international 9900i daycab with the CAT 550.
My boss hasn't gotten ahold of any elog device, were still using paper. He says we are exempt for some reason but I cant find any reason we would be. I' hesitant to confront him about this without proof but the last thing I want to do it drive without a legal log. If we aren' label I'm done driving until we are. Does anyone know why we would be exempt?
Exempt from elog? (Solved)

then you need an ELD...

What year is the Cat? Engines 99 and older are exempt. An 03 with an old engine isn’t too far fetched.

I would ask him what exemption he is talking about.

Reefer trip you described is pure OTR. I hope you had paper logs at least, or you were in total and utter violation. The OOS Expensive kind. -
What are you hauling in the reefer may make you exempt under the Ag exemption.
deathB4decaf and stwik Thank this.
