Hi Everyone. I need help. My husband just picked up a 2013 Cascadia Evolution it had 27 miles on it but since we have been in it I am smelling exhaust fumes. My husband says he can not smell any thing but the plastic. The truck is not equipped with Hav Vac smart system so I can rule that out as a source. I know I am not crazy but I can't find any other possible source on the Internet. The smell really makes me sick. It seems that the smell is worse when we stop and when we are climbing steeper terrain. I would so appreciate any info you guys might have!!!
thanks!!!!

Best advice is to get it checked out ASAP before someone gets poisoned by Carbon Monoxide fumes.
Criminey Jade and Cristal143 Thank this. -
Is it fuel exhaust or DEF? We drive Freightliners where I work and there is a notable smell when the exhaust system starts a regen.
Definitely get it checked out though. Strong fumes indicate trouble.LoSt_AgAiN and Cristal143 Thank this. -
We are but I just thought someone may have experienced something similar. Since husband says he can't smell it, I hate putting it in the shop on my nose alone!!! Lol

I just think exhaust but not familiar with DEF. I will let you know what I find out.

Cristal43 if it was your nose you were trying to save you should complain about it! I'm sure you don't want Carbon Monoxide Poisoning! It is not a good thing!b I have had it, NO FUN!
Cristal143 and Criminey Jade Thank this. -
Trust your nose. Get the truck checked.

I have beem having the same problem with my 2011 cascadia. Shop said they couldnt smell anything, I smell it once in awhile, and a lot when i climb a grade as well. Whenever I get around to it, im going to go to lowes and get a carbon monoxide detector.
Cristal143 and Criminey Jade Thank this. -
